Day 01: Delhi - Kathmandu (by air)
In the morning transfer to the airport for the flight from Delhi to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu - Phulchowki - Kathmandu
Today you will start your bird watching tour in Kathmandu with a visit to Phulchowki Danra, the highest of the hill encircling the valley. On the way you will stop beside the Trisuli River where you will look out for Kingfisher. Today whole day you will watch the birds in Phulchowki and later you will drive back to the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu - Chitwan National Park
Today you will leave the world of mountains and drive to the south of Nepal to the Royal Chitwan National Park. This National Park is situated near the Indian Nepal border. The area of the National Park covers around 950 square km. The Chitwan National park is the natural habitat of the Tiger, great one-horned Indian Rhinoceros, Leopard, Gaur, Sloth Bear, Wild Bear and Sambars. You will have your overnight stay in a comfortable lodge in the National Park.
Day 04: Chitwan National Park
In the morning visit Chitwan National Park. In the afternoon, set out for bird watching in the canoes.
Day 05: Chitwan National Park
In the morning visit Chitwan National Park. In the afternoon, set out for bird watching in the canoes.
Day 06: Chitwan National Park - Kathmandu
In the morning enjoy birding in the park. Later drive to Kathmandu stopping en route for birding. Overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 07: Kathmandu - Paro
In the morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Paro by Druk Air. Look for Ibisbill in Paru chu near the car park. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel in Paro. Go for birding at Paro chu again.
Day 08: Paro - Thimphu
In the morning enjoy birding tour along the river Paro chu. After breakfast, visit the Natural History Museum at Ta Dzong. Afternoon drive to the capital city of Thimphu stopping en route to look for Ibisbill and other birds. Afternoon birding on the way to Jigme Dorji National Park. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 09: Thimphu - Phobjhika
Leave very early in the morning for Phobjhika stopping enroute for an hour at Dochula for birding. After lunch visit the Gangtey Gompa (monastery). In the evening enjoy birding in Phobjhika valley. Overnight stay in a guest house.
Day 10: Phobjhika - Punakha
Early morning walk to the bogs to see the black-necked cranes. Return to the guest house for breakfast. Drive to Punakha.
Day 11: Punakha
Today, you will have a short walk along River Mo Chu and the surrounding forests.
Day 12: Punakha - Thimphu
In the morning drive to Thimphu stopping for birding en route. Afternoon proceed to the entrance of Jigmey Dorji National Park for birding till sunset
Day 13: Thimphu - Paro
In the morning visit the zoo to see Takin and for birding. Later drive to Paro.
Day 14: Paro - Delhi (by air)
In the morning transfer to the airport for the flight to Delhi. In the afternoon arrive in Delhi.
Day 15: Delhi (Departure)
Around midnight flight to home destination.
